Avatar Unit
AvatarSM Units are a communications portal to campus information and security. AvatarSM units are an industrialized version of the innovative 360° LED video display, with both outdoor and indoor models available. A range of different sizes are available, each providing 360° viewing for maximum visibility. A ceiling mounted version is also available for larger, more densely populated seating areas.
Discrete camera placement mounted within the AvatarSM units can provide close proximity video coverage of busy public spaces while maintaining a friendly campus atmosphere.
AvatarSM can broadcast immediate, time-sensitive warnings to an entire campus. Public notification regarding physical, natural, chemical or biological incidents can be broadcast through the early-warning system. Units can be upgraded to include voice activation and speech recognition to assist the handicapped.
Holistic Security Convergence
Existing campus security systems are typically comprised of disparate controls, each requiring additional personnel hours to monitor and manage. Security Convergence provides effective incident response and management utilizing clear public notification alerts.
AvatarSM combines security and information services with existing access controls and on-campus databases, providing comprehensive security convergence. Through integration with student and administrative databases, notifications can be disseminated regarding all manner of activity including class cancellation or emergency notification. AvatarSM databases are open source, allowing for integration with third-party service providers.
SpartaMatrix™ will undertake a thorough analysis of current best practices. One focus would be an analysis of visitor sign on schemes. A third-party security risk assessment will be conducted through appropriate security audit specialists. Recommendations will be presented for approval and implementation. AvatarSM manages the integration of all existing physical security controls through the Mitigation and Prevention Centre (MPC) technology.

The AvatarSM Platform includes secure digital archiving of all video footage. Data is stored securely with appropriate access controls and encryption. It can be erased at prescheduled intervals once information is outdated or determined useless. Appropriate policy control allows for a detailed terminal database for any event; yet minimizes long-term privacy concerns.
