SmartDetection® is designed to alert nations that potentially destructive waves, tsunamis or hurricanes may hit their coastlines within 1-14 hours. With SpartaMatrix™ SmartDetection®, meteorological instrumentation can be integrated into your existing systems and public notifaction systems. SmartDetection® utilizes:

• Tidal gauges that detect early warning signs of destructive tsunamis and hurricanes
• Analysis of earthquake information from several seismic networks
• Analytical seismic information that is fed into computer models that "picture" how and where a tsunami might form
• Dispatched warnings about imminent tsunami hazards, including predictions of how fast the waves are traveling and their expected arrival times at specific geographic destinations
• The means to update bulletins when the tsunami warnings are issued.
• Generation of "inundation maps" of what areas could be damaged and what communities might be spared
